In the paper today there was an article about private schools closing due to the credit crunch. Some of those kids are going to move to the state sector. I can't say public sector because that would infer schools like Eton and Harrow, weird

Councils have been identified as being really aggressive with their bad debts. Agressively reclaiming money and racking up vast legal bills which make the debts worse for poor people. I like the imagae of the councils sending around vultures to collect their debts and giving them a stupid job title

women in love can't smell other men very well but they can identify the person they're in love with by smell

New research has identified that female mice can tell a lot about other mice just by smell, eg wherether they are carrying parasites and if they are a good mate. Appointing staff is one of the most difficult and hit and miss activities in business, so I think this method is as good as any
